Amongst the ranks of Elven warhosts there are those whose names are spoken with hushed reverence, whose battle-skills surpass those of their kin, and whose deeds have become as legend. These are the war-leaders of the Elven kings, their heroes and champions. Peerless warriors and masters of battlefield strategy, they have honed their killing arts over centuries of warfare.
Many noble champions enter battle carrying potent magical artefacts, turning them into living gods of war; swords that burn with the heat of a dragon’s breath, bows crafted from crystal that are able to shoot twice the distance of a regular weapon. Others wear glittering suits of armour that are all but impenetrable to swords and arrows, and magical cloaks that confuse and befuddle those that look upon them.
March to war in the front ranks of the Elven warhost, the Elven heroes and champions step forth in the moments before battle is met to challenge in single combat any who dare stand against them. Few can match their speed and deadly skill, and any who foolishly accept their challenge invariably fall beneath their ensorcelled blades, the blood of fallen enemies staining the earth at the Elven hero’s feet. Having witnessed the ease with which their own warlords had been slaughtered, many an army has disintegrated and fled the field before even a single arrow has been launched. Those armies that stay to fight are perhaps the more foolish, and against these foes the Elven champions and heroes lead the charge, cutting, hacking and butchering until not an enemy still draws breath.
