If you ever went to the Greenville Tavern, you’d know Joe. He was the kind of guy who had his own seat at the bar, and was there every night. Buy him a drink and he’d tell you how he had it all – His own auto repair shop, a beautiful wife, two kids, a home in the suburbs with a deck and a pool. He was living the American dream! Then he’ll go quiet, and finish his bourbon, and order another one. Good luck getting him to tell you what changed, or why he’s worked almost a dozen jobs in half a dozen towns over the past five years.
Right now, he’s an auto mechanic at the Clutch-N-Such. Before that, he was a carpenter, a garbage man before that. He’s been a dock worker, a carpenter, a truck driver… the list goes on and on. He’s creeping into his forties one day at a time, and he’s got nothing to his name except a cheap motel room and a head full of memories.
When you’ve got nothing to live for, you’ve got nothing to lose. That all changed with the Invasion. No one knows machines like Joe does, and it didn’t take him long to work out how to fix up Martian technology. When the army realized he could turn their enemy’s weapons against them, they drafted him to the cause of defending the planet. Will his help be enough to turn the tide, or is it already too late?
Joe will be joining Buddy, Brandi and the U.S. Military in the fight to save earth in our upcoming Mars Attacks game – with less than 3 weeks to go until it launches on Kickstarter, we’ve just about got time to show you all the cool stuff we’re planning. These concept pieces are just the start! Stay tuned to the blog and register your email address to keep up with everything we’re showing off.
