STOP PRESS!

I’ve just been informed that the Deadzone pre-release edition boxed game has now SOLD OUT! Obviously, this means that the Collector’s Edition, Mega Deal and Gamers’ Edition are also sold out. The response to this game has just been incredible! Deadzone will have its full release in February, and anyone who places a pre-order before midnight on 31st December 2013 will still get a limited edition metal Survivor miniature thrown in, because we’re nice like that.

Right, on with the scheduled post!

The Rebs are one of the most exciting parts of Deadzone – mainly because they feature a whole plethora of aliens who haven’t been seen before in the Warpath universe! A lot of people are really getting behind the idea of a group of rag-tag freedom fighters rallying against the might of the GCPS. With the Rebs Faction Starter you can join the fight!

Here’s what you get in the box:

This bag contains the Teraton Brawler, two Grogan (one with a Desolator, one with an Onslaught Cannon), two Drones and the Rebel Commander.

The bag shown above gives you a most of the contents of the Faction Starter. By all accounts, everything goes together nicely – the only thing you might need to fiddle about a bit with is the ammo belts on the Grogan. If they don’t fit, just use some hot water!

This bag contains two human Rebs plus the crouching Yndij trooper.

Most of your regular troopers are in this bag. For the trooper in the middle, I’d recommend dry-fitting the arms with blu-tac before sticking them in place. The other human trooper barely needs glue at all – you just need to ease the arms in place and they’ll hold very nicely indeed.

This bag contains another Yndij and a Sorak.

Note that there are two designs of Yndij – these are interchangeable, so you could use them to represent regular troopers or a Sergeant. It’s entirely up to you! (We just picked one of them at random for the picture on the Sergeant card in the Faction Deck.) Hopefully we’ll get around to releasing a Sergeant model at some point, but until then, if you want yours to stand out, you could always do a bit of conversion work!

There we go – the Rebs Faction Booster! There are still plenty of these left in stock, so get them while you can. Check back tomorrow for a look at the Enforcers and Mercenaries!
