Following on from the Kings of War Fantasy Battlefield Pack reveal, and all the excitement of our ongoing Slow Grow, we've got more excellent news for anyone who plays in Pannithor.
Get ready for another big update, which sees the Salamanders of the Three Kings burst onto the Print on Demand scene with units never previously available as miniature kits, as well as a free-to-download FAQ & Errata for Kings of War 4th Edition.
1. Salamanders Coming to Print on Demand
Following January's pre-orders for the Z'akke Company Box in Kings of War Champions, a range of units are getting ready to join the Kings of War Salamanders range via the Print on Demand service. These will be 3D-printed for you using extremely high-quality AmeraLabs resin, and a safety-certified process right here in the UK. All prints will arrive ready-to-build with superglue, having been fully prepared by our trained staff.
First up, it's Z'akke - breaking out of his company box and onto bigger battlefields!
Z'akke, Mage-Priest of the Lava Tail Clan
Z’akke is an experienced mage-priest of the Lava Tail clan. He became a champion of his people after his success as an adventurer gained him enough influence to attract Basilean aid for the cure of a disease ravaging his clan.
Normally a gentle and thoughtful priest, he is prone to outbursts of unbridled rage and violence in the defense of those he deems to be good and needy.
Kaisenor Lancers
The large pack-hunters known as Kaisenor Raptors have flourished in the plains of the Three Kings, where they live on the edge of the jungle during the hottest parts of the day. The beasts sport a deep red skin, slashed with yellow and orange bands, while their sanguine eyes smoulder with deep cunning and a spark of devilish fire.
They are left to learn and hone their hunting and killing skills before being captured and trained to be ridden. Sleek and agile predators, their ability to move in formation at speed makes them excellent cavalry mounts.
Ghekkotah Troop
A shorter sub-species of the Salamander lineage, the Ghekkotah were left untouched by the same magic that transformed their kin, and they continue to be warm-blooded creatures to this day.
Though they are rarely to be found in the great cities, preferring to live in their own small villages and collectives in the plains and jungles surrounding the Three Kings, they have an intense and fierce loyalty to their other reptilian kin and are often to be found in their armies.
Ember Sprites
From the bubbling fire pits of the Three Kings, Mage-Priests will summon and harvest the proto-elementals that are born in the glow of molten rock.
Some of these Ember Sprites may bind together into fire elementals, while others will mischievously spark and fizzle across Pannithor’s crust for the duration of their brief existence.
Komodon
Living, moving artillery pieces, Komodons are usually found in high mountain passes where they watch their prey from above, camouflaged against the black rock.
The Komodon is able to spit gobs of poisonous bile over great distances, ideal for use as offensive firepower—if you can get them to aim in the right direction.
2. Fourth Edition Errata & FAQ
The first FAQ & Errata for Kings of War 4th Edition is ready, and can be downloaded as a free PDF here.
The errata changes will be live in the Mantic Companion by Thursday 5th March.
A revised version of the digital rulebook, updated to reflect these changes, will also be coming soon – if you’ve already purchased the digital version of the rulebook, you will be able to download the new version for free. We’ll share a further update when it's available to download.

Here’s what Mantic's Head of Studio, Matt Gilbert, had to say about the update:
MG: For this first FAQ & Errata release, we gathered questions and feedback from the Kings of War forum, from the AMA we did back in January, and from the play testers. Alessio has reviewed everything and provided answers.
Thank you to everyone who has been playing Kings of War 4th edition, has submitted questions and has been engaging with us both in person and online. Your feedback is valuable!
Please do continue to post your rules questions on the Kings of War forum – it’s a lot easier for us to keep track of them there than it is on social media.
A heads-up about the next updates – there may be a minor update alongside the Fracture expansion book (scheduled to release in early summer), which will address any units or rules that are proving problematic. But please expect a more comprehensive, “Clash of Kings”-style update across all armies with the Arrogance expansion book, which is scheduled to release towards the end of the year. At that point, the new edition will have been out for a year – giving us and the play-testing group enough data to see what needs adjusting.
In the meantime – happy gaming, everyone!
2026 has already been an exciting year for Kings of War, and it's only just getting started! Keep an eye on our channels for more news in the coming weeks and months.
