The Nightstalker Threat Tears Into The Future

31st May 2024

Dan Mapleston

Mazon Labs have been attempting to harness theoretical wormhole technology in the Pluton system. They've pushed the limits of known physics to breaking point in the name of corporate profit, and now the galaxy is set to pay an unthinkably high price for their ambition...

Kicking off our Summer of Sci-Fi, the terrifying Nightstalkers have at last broken through into the Warpath Universe! Ready your forces, and prepare to command this terrifying new power to victory across the five spheres of GCPS space...

The Nightstalkers are available NOW to pre-order, shipping from June 17th.

Nightstalker Strike Force

Tearing through corporate space following the demise of Pluton III, the Nightstalkers are interdimensional nightmares spread through fear. Appearing via portals from the mysterious Void, these bizarre, twisted creatures surge and overwhelm local defences, feeding on the population’s fear. The few survivors of each attack escape, telling their stories and spreading the idea of the Nightstalkers – and thus the Nightstalkers themselves – to the rest of the galaxy.

Nightstalker Nihilitas Void Ray

Despite their size, these graceful airborne beings are often part of the early waves of a Nightstalker incursion. Their bodies somehow maintain a connection to the Void, allowing them to disgorge Nightstalkers directly from that warped place onto the battlefield. Their plaintive voices can be heard for miles, infecting those who hear it with visions and paranoia of the horrors to come.

Nightstalker Luctus Void Rays

Travelling in shoals, Luctus Void Rays glide through Void portals in search of prey. Drifting languidly through the air, their playful yelps quickly turn to screeches and bursts of caustic chemicals once they’ve closed with their victims. Diving on their quarry in swarms, these unfortunates are quickly immolated and eviscerated from the pack of screaming terrors surrounding them. Only when their prey has stopped moving to they float on towards their next target.

Nightstalker Dread Ravager

The creatures identified as ‘Dread Ravagers’ confound ETCU scientists. Although anatomically similar to the Ravagers, they bear heavy weaponry that seems to have grown out of their bodies. It’s unclear whether such weapons are limbs, independent beings, parasites, or something else entirely. Despite the apparent hindrance to their movement, the Dread Ravagers are still able to wield these weapons to terrifying effect.

Nightstalker Butcher Squad

The lumbering brutes identified by the ETCU as ‘Butchers’ are often seen charging through defensive lines and barricades, relying on their strength and bulk to survive the onslaught. Their name is literal – these creatures dismember the bodies of the fallen with sharp, heavy blades, before gulping down their flesh greedily. Ravagers accompany them, spouting ghastly incendiary chemicals from their hands to douse defenders in fire.

Nightstalker Spectre/Scarecrow Squad

Staggering, misshapen humanoids, the specimens dubbed ‘scarecrows’ or ‘spectres’ in reports to the ETCU, have been theorised as being the Nightstalkers’ foot soldiers. Although apparently the weakest creatures encountered, these shuffling hordes or creeping horrors are often seen as the leering, many-toothed faces of the Nightstalker invasion.
