U.S. Tariffs & Halo: Flashpoint – May Update

For tabletop fans in the U.S., we know that tariffs have been a big worry recently and we've been careful not to make any knee-jerk reactions. This has proven to be the right course.

With U.S. retailers now having their UK import tariffs settled at 10%, and China tariffs having climbed down from 145% to 30%, we are now in a position to share with you all exactly what we are putting in place.

Minor U.S. Price Changes

As our U.S. retail partners now need to pay import tariffs, we will soon need to adjust the U.S. Dollar MSRPs of their product ranges. We will also be adjusting our own webstore pricing to match so that our U.S. Dollar MSRP does not undercut theirs.

The good news is that these are typically small adjustments – looking to be in the 5% region, but rounded to the nearest sensible amount - but we do encourage you to beat the price rise by placing US webstore orders before 1st June 2025.

What about U.S. Tariffs?

Most of our product range is manufactured (or sufficiently assembled/transformed/finished) in the UK & Europe, so our understanding is that US fans are only likely to be charged tariffs by the U.S. Government on those products if ordering more than $800 worth (the 'de minimis exemption').

Some products however, are made in China - with Halo: Flashpoint being the most obvious example.

Halo: Flashpoint - The Plan

As you no doubt know, Halo: Flashpoint has been incredibly popular so far, and especially in the USA. It's important to our fans, and us(!), that we can continue to supply this in the easiest way possible without interruptions.

So for Halo: Flashpoint only, we will switch to 'self-importing' this range into the USA - meaning that the tariff is already paid by Mantic on all Halo restocks and pre-orders.

This will come into effect sometime in June 2025, so before the Wave 3/Rise of the Banished fulfilment, allowing everyone to get their Halo lines without any tariffs. However, this means that Halo stock will be in 2 separate places – Mantic HQ and in the U.S. – so once the US. stock has gone it won’t be back in until a reprint arrives, usually a couple of months later.

To cover the 30% tariff charge, and pay a fulfilment centre, we will need to slightly adjust the U.S. dollar prices to account for this, but once again we are keeping these changes as small as we can. These price changes will again take effect from 1st June, and the Spartan Edition and Rise of the Banished will both be rising to $139 MSRP.

This makes some of the Wave 3 bundles - especially the Ultimate Starter Bundle - an incredible deal for new players.

If you pick them up before 1st June, you will both avoid any tariff charges and definitely get a copy – so please act quickly if you want to snag a copy of Rise of the Banished – with the limited edition Warmaster Atriox - when it launches.

What if I've already placed a pre-order for Wave 3/Rise of the Banished?

Firstly, thank you for holding onto your order throughout the recent emotional rollercoaster of news reports! We really appreciate it and we've got good news - you don't need to do anything - we will both honour the old price and pay your tariff on all Wave 3/Rise of the Banished pre-orders currently in our system.

Ordering Rise of the Banished going forward

Now that you know that the third wave of Halo: Flashpoint will be arriving tariff paid, if you're a U.S. fan who's been watching from the sidelines then now really is the right time to jump on board, and you'll get the 'old' price for doing so before 1st June 2025. Just click HERE.

Even if you're NOT in the U.S., the first print run of Wave 3 is now at a fixed quantity, and pre-orders are already proving hugely popular. As always with Halo, we very strongly recommend pre-ordering to get hold of new releases when they launch.

Final Notes

Firstly, as we will soon be shipping U.S. Halo orders and our other stock out of different locations, we’re asking you to please place your Halo: Flashpoint orders separately – which many customers already do!
