DreadBall is the futuristic sports board game for 2 players. Take on the role of coach and attempt to outscore your opponent on the pitches of the far future by playing in one-off exhibition matches or galaxy-spanning leagues that showcase your grasp of strategy and tactics.

Includes 2nd Edition Rulebook, Pitch and 2 new teams: the Draconis All-Stars robots and Ninth Moon Tree Sharks Yndij plus a newly designed RefBot, Balls, Hex Bases, Cards, Counters and dice.

DreadBall 2nd Edition takes the feedback from countless matches and tournaments played around the world and updates the rules and team balance for a new era of furious galactic sport.

There is a new rulebook, streamlining the previous season books, redeveloping the league system and making improvements across the game. This book is included in a new boxed game, with two starter teams and redesigned components to enhance the overall gameplay. The DreadBall range already has quite a few teams, and every one of them will be balanced and competitive, with their own unique playstyle.

We’re developing DreadBall 2nd Edition through Kickstarter, where with the help of the community we will improve the rules, produce a new boxed game and fund the tooling for new miniatures in the range.

In addition we aim to create new miniatures and accessories for the range and create a strong community so you’re always supported! Our plan is that it’ll let you enjoy the galaxy’s greatest sport whilst reinvigorating the DreadBall scene for the veterans, and bring in a host of new players.

We’ve created a very simple 2 week Kickstarter around a great value pledge level called Striker ($100, MSRP $150) where you get the new boxed game, DreadBall Ultimate 2nd Edition, DreadBall Team Guide and 2 Kickstarter Exclusive Coaches. You can see the full contents below:

Backers at this level will receive: DreadBall – The Futuristic Sports Game (MSRP $80) + DreadBall Team Guide (MSRP $25) + DreadBall Ultimate expansion (MSRP $25) + Fergus Kickstarter Exclusive Offensive Coach Miniature + Tracer Kickstarter Exclusive Supportive Coach Miniature + All Applicable Stretch Goals. Already there are 4 extra miniatures on top of this, with a special character and plastic counter upgrade (2 of which are miniatures) to be added in.

This stretch goal upgrades the card counters to plastic, including upgrading the Score Tracker to ‘The Embers’ trophy and the Rush Tracker to the Eye in the Sky miniature (seen above)
