Halo Flashpoint Fast Grow: Everything You Need to Know
7th Oct 2026
Alex Gordon

The Halo Flashpoint Fast Grow Challenge is coming soon.
From Friday 23 October to Sunday 1 November, we’re challenging YOU to choose a Fireteam, and get it painted up in the space of nine days. Join Team Mantic, the global Halo Flashpoint community and a cast of awesome content creators as we all paint together.
If you’ve been waiting for an excuse to start Halo Flashpoint, finally tackle some unpainted miniatures, or add something new to an existing collection, this is it!
So, what is the Fast Grow Challenge?
You’ve probably heard of a hobby Slow Grow: build and paint an army gradually over a longer period. Earlier this year, we ran one for Kings of War, with members of Team Mantic taking part alongside the community.
For Halo Flashpoint, we decided to turn the idea on its head. Why? Because one of the great things about Halo Flashpoint is just how quickly you can get it onto the tabletop. Many Fireteams are made up of just four miniatures, so you don’t need months of painting before you can start playing.
In fact, we don’t think you even need one month. We believe you can do it in just nine days!

Who can take part?
Maybe you’re completely new to Halo Flashpoint and this will be your first Fireteam. Maybe you bought some miniatures months ago and they’re still patiently waiting in their box. Maybe you’re already playing regularly and just want an excuse to paint something new.
Everyone is welcome, and the more the merrier!
Most of us wish we could paint more and play more, but we all lead busy lives these days, and finding the time and energy can be difficult. Fast Grow is simply a fun excuse to make it happen, with a whole community doing it alongside you.
And speaking personally, I’m a painfully slow painter. If I can get a Halo Fireteam finished in nine days, you most definitely can too!
How does it work?
It really is this simple:
- Choose a Halo Flashpoint Fireteam.
- Start painting on 23 October.
- Get it battle-ready by 1 November.
That’s it.
Importantly, think of the nine days as the 'challenge window'. Exactly how you pace yourself within that is up to you.
If you can finish your Fireteam in one evening, or one weekend, that’s brilliant! Go for it! If you need all nine days, that’s absolutely fine too.
Paint at a pace that works for you. The finish line is simply a Fireteam you’re proud to put onto the battlefield.

What can I do before 23 October?
Plenty! Now is the time to:
- Choose your Fireteam.
- Get hold of the miniatures you need.
- Decide how you want to paint them.
- Make sure your paints and brushes are ready.
- Convince a friend to join you.
If you want to follow the challenge in the intended spirit, just leave the actual painting until 23 October.
Share your progress
A big part of Fast Grow is making this feel like a proper community event.
We’ll have members of Team Mantic taking part — including Ronnie — alongside a wide range of content creators, and we want to see what the rest of the Halo Flashpoint community is doing too.
So during the challenge, we’d love for you to share your progress with us and the other challengers, in places like Facebook, Instagram, Reddit and Discord. That could be photos of your painting set-up, your in-progress Fireteams, hobby vlogs published as Reels or Shorts, galleries of your finished miniatures, and anything else Fast Grow-related that you’d like to share!
If you’re posting on Facebook or Instagram, tag @manticgames and use:
#HaloFastGrow
We’ll be keeping an eye out for community Fireteams to share during the challenge.

And yes… there’ll be a prize
Our friends at The Army Painter are supporting the Fast Grow challenge, and we’re planning a special prize draw for people who complete the challenge.
There’ll be an Army Painter Speedpaint Wargamers Mega Set 2.0 up for grabs.

We’ll publish the full entry process, eligibility details and terms before the challenge begins, so keep an eye on the Mantic blog and social channels for that.
What happens next?
Over the next couple of weeks, you’ll start seeing a lot more Fast Grow activity.
We’ll be introducing some of the creators joining us, sharing Team Mantic’s plans, publishing more videos and hobby content, and getting everything ready for the starting gun on 23 October.
For now, you only need to do three things:
- Prepare your minis, paints, brushes and hobby supplies.
- Tell your friends.
- Stay tuned.
Then, on 23 October, we start growing…FAST!
Nine days. One Fireteam. Prepare to deploy!
