Mantic Games is a miniature and board games publisher based in Nottingham, UK. After launching in 2009, Mantic has produced best-selling titles, such as Kings of War, Hellboy: The Board Game and TerrainCrate.

Due to continued expansion and growth, particularly after the launch of a dedicated board game division, we now have an exciting opportunity for a Crowdfunding Manager. Based at our Nottingham office and reporting to the CEO, the Crowdfunding Manager will be responsible for developing and managing Mantic’s crowdfunding campaigns. The Crowdfunding Manager will be required to deliver multiple campaigns throughout the course of a year, while also delivering and manager existing campaigns.

DUTIES

  • Work alongside the studio team to develop and produce exciting and engaging products that will be funded and delivered through crowdfunding sites, such as Kickstarter and Gamefound
  • Manage stakeholders to create and deliver world class crowdfunding assets to strict deadlines, such as pledge graphics, videos, blogs and more
  • Write compelling and inspirational campaign pages that inform and excite visitors to convert them into backers
  • Working with licence holders, where necessary, to get all assets approved and signed off before distribution
  • Plan and deliver detailed crowdfunding multi-channel marketing plans, including paid for advertising (where necessary) and social media plans, to create excitement and interest ahead of each campaign launching
  • Manage a marketing budget for each crowdfunding campaign
  • Create BoardGameGeek pages to promote the upcoming campaign
  • Work with third party content creators to create promotional content
  • Manage live crowdfunding campaigns by responding to comments, updating the campaign page, answering messages and continuing to promote the campaign via marketing channels
  • Create and manage post-campaign pledge managers
  • Provide regular and informative post-campaign updates to backers to keep them informed on production timelines
  • Deliver financial and shipping reports to the relevant departments when required

THE PERSON

  • Experience of managing and delivering successful crowdfunding campaigns is absolutely essential. The candidate will need to be able to hit the ground running once they start
  • An understanding of current trends and opportunities within crowdfunding will be vital
  • We want an individual that is passionate about tabletop gaming and will relish the opportunity to excite the community about Mantic’s crowdfunding projects
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects and manage workflow and time accordingly

SALARY

The pay range for this role is £30,000-£40,000. The final salary will be dependent upon experience.
