14th Aug Mantic Monday – Warpath & Kings of War Day!

Hosted by The Pit Gaming Shop and Thors Hammer

Join us for a special #ManticMonday and The Pit Gaming Shop featuring awesome demo and participation games in both the fantasy world of Mantica and the sci-fi Warpath Universe!

Pathfinders Matthew Mountain and Ben Alexander Edwards will be at the shop all evening running games to show new players the ropes, as well as help existing players make the most of their games. Matt will be running demos of Mantic Games’ fantastic new sci-fi games, Warpath and Warpath: Firefight, while Ben will be doing run throughs of the new Kings of War starter set, Battle of the Glades, as well as a Kings of War ‘Open Table’. On top of this, both will be able to provide info, hints and tips on modelling, painting, the Mantic community and more!

Table 1: Warpath Universe

There are two sets of rules for Warpath, and Matt will run you through whichever you like the sound of most! Warpath is the mass-combat strategy game that allows you to play massive sci-fi battles on the tabletop, quickly and affordably. The players assume the role of a battlefield commander, overseeing the firefights and long-ranged engagements fought out by their futuristic armies. Warpath: Firefight is the squad-level battle game where every soldier matters. With an emphasis on cinematic battles between as few as 30 soldiers a side, the game is designed to zoom in on the action, with a focus on dynamic, tactical games.

Table 2: Battle of the Glades

Mantic Games’ new starter set contains everything two players need to get started in Kings of War and includes two starter armies, the Kings of War Gamer’s Edition Rulebook and the Battle of the Glades Guide, with lore, two starter force lists and a mini-campaign. Ben will be running demos of the campaign scenarios in the Battle of the Glades Guide, which are a perfect introduction to Kings of War for any gamers interested in seeing what it is all about.

Table 3: Open Table!

Bring your own fantasy models and play! To help players who already have fantasy armies get into the game Ben will also be running an Open Table. If you’ve never played Kings of War before we will create a 1,000pts list for you using any models that you bring. If you already know the game and are looking for more experience, feel free to bring a 1,000pts list and play with that. Ben can run you through battles step by step if you are new to the game, or provide tactical hints and tips if you’ve already got to grip with the rules.

Remember, #ManticMonday takes place every week and is a chance for you to get involved with Mantic Hobby activities – whether that’s playing a game, painting miniatures or building scenery. Join us on social media and make sure you use the hashtag #ManticMonday.
