The town of Gilthall lies near the end of the Copper Road. Historically, it was once a significant commercial centre and trading hub, and local rumour suggests it was built on the ancient foundations of an older, more significant settlement. Regardless, in recent times trade has fallen on hard times and with it the fortunes of both the town and its people. Baron Eltmer draws what taxes he can from the traffic on the main road and the surrounding countryside, but maintaining the town and its defence against aggressive outsiders might now be beyond his means.

Perhaps some brave young Heroes trying to make a name for themselves can be of assistance?

The Green Oak Tavern is a grand wooden building, located directly off the town square. It is a popular meeting place for locals and travellers alike. More well-to-do visitors and wealthier merchants may choose accommodation elsewhere, usually imposing themselves on the Baron as he tries to woo them and curry favour with the elite of nearby cities in the hope of finding a solution to aid his ailing town.

On stepping inside the Green Oak you will find warm fires and good food, beer that is not entirely water, and maybe some business opportunities if you are looking for some almost-honest coin or adventure. So grab a tankard and find a table. It’s time to find some work.

The Tales From The Green Oak offers 10 new scenarios to play through and includes all new heroes and minions too! At £20 that’s just a mere £2 per adventure!
