The Fast Grow Challenge Starts Tomorrow!
22nd Oct 2026
Alex Gordon

We’re almost there! Tomorrow, Friday 23rd October, the Halo: Flashpoint Fast Grow Challenge begins, and until Sunday 1st November we’ll be painting Fireteams alongside players and creators around the world.
If you’ve been thinking about joining in, now’s the time.
More Than 40 Creators Are Joining the Challenge
The Fast Grow creator line-up has kept growing, with more than 40 creators now taking part alongside Team Mantic and the wider Halo: Flashpoint community.
Some have already been getting ready for the challenge, sharing Fireteam choices, painting plans and hobby videos ahead of tomorrow’s start.

We’ve already seen some fantastic Fast Grow content appearing on YouTube too. Here are a few videos to get you in the mood.
Sonic Sledgehammer Studios talks about what he's got planned for the challenge:
Carl Walmsley asks for your input on what he's going to paint for the challenge:
Gray Squadron Gaming unboxes some minis and gets ready for the challenge:
The Tabletop Fox gives a nice overview of the challenge and discusses his own Fast Grow plans:
TOD Rolls Dice runs through yesterday's news about the giveaway prize draw:
What Counts as a Fireteam?
This has probably been the question we’ve received most often, so here’s the simple answer:
If you’re just joining the Fast Grow for fun, paint whatever Halo Flashpoint miniatures you like!
Pick some miniatures you’re excited about, grab your paints and join in. There’s no requirement to build a tournament-ready force or follow a particular list. If, for example, you want to just paint your favourite handful of minis from the new Banished Reinforcements or UNSC Marines boxes, without worrying about whether they constitute a game-legal list, then by all means do so.

The only caveat is that if you want to enter the Fast Grow giveaway prize draw, there are a few extra rules. Your entry must include:
- At least three official Mantic Halo Flashpoint miniatures from the same faction
- Photos showing them before painting, as a work in progress, and fully painted and based
They still don’t need to form a game-legal list, so there’s still plenty of freedom to choose the miniatures you want to paint.
One challenger will win an Army Painter Speedpaint Wargamers Mega Paint Set 2.0. This isn’t a painting competition, so painters of every experience level have a shot. The winner will be chosen at random from everyone who submitted an eligible entry.
