2nd Sep 2026

The Fate of Samarik Has Been Decided - By YOU!
The fighting is over, the results are in, and the fate of Samarik has been decided. After three weekends of battles around the world, the final result is:
- Samarik Stands: [52.9%]
- Samarik Falls: [47.1%]
That means [SAMARIK STANDS] has officially won the Siege of Samarik summer campaign!
A huge thank you to everyone who took part over the last few weeks. Whether your games were large or small, whether you played Kings of War, Champions or Armada, whether you used the optional rules or not, all submitted results have helped to shape the final outcome.

Samarik Stands!
Against the forces of the Abyss, Samarik has held. The victory has come at a terrible cost. Much of the city lies battered and ruined, and its defenders have suffered heavily, but the Abyssal assault has been broken and the city remains in Basilean hands.
That victory also has consequences beyond Samarik. With the immediate threat contained, Basilea and its allies can begin looking towards the other conflicts engulfing Pannithor, including the desperate struggle against the Xirkaali at Haelthorn.
Mark Barber brings the campaign to its conclusion in No Slumber for Captains of the Line, our final Siege of Samarik story, following Dictator Baccius and Lord Paladin Orion in the aftermath of victory.

Keep Testing the Beta Siege Rules
The summer campaign may be finished, but we’re keeping the beta Siege Rules feedback form open until the end of the year!

We know there were people out there who wanted to try the rules but didn't get a chance to do so while the Siege of Samarik was live. Keeping the feedback form open until the end of the year should give everyone more time to play some siege games and put the rules through their paces. We'd love to hear what worked, what didn’t and what you’d like to see changed - your thoughts will help to shape how the rules develop from here.

Want to see how the battle for Samarik reached this point?

Mark Barber’s Blades of Samarik is available now as an eBook from the Mantic webstore, following the events that lead directly into the Siege of Samarik campaign as Basilea faces threats from the Xirkaali, division within its own borders and a new danger emerging from the Abyss.
