Introducing… THE MANTIC HQ TOUR!

7th Jul 2017

Rob Burman

Andy, Mantic’s Events & Organised Play Coordinator, waxes lyrical about the birth of the book-in-advance Mantic HQ Tour. That’s right, you can now visit Mantic HQ in Nottingham during the week and there are two time slots: 10am and 2pm. Check our Events page for booking links.

It started, as most things do, with a conversation with Ronnie. “You know what excites people about the Open Day, Andy?” he asked, then continued rhetorically “Aside from the terrific participation games, paint-and-take, the special deals and exclusives, chatting with our in-house creative staff, and terrifically buoyant atmosphere?”

“The Seminar where you spill your secrets?” I quipped.

“Well, yes: aside from the terrific participation games, paint-and-take, the special deals and exclusives, chatting with our in-house creative staff, terrifically buoyant atmosphere, and the Seminar where even Stewart can’t curb my enthusiasm?” he sighed. “The Tour, Andy, the Tour. Attendees simply love the Tour. Keep up.”

“The one that takes in the Warehouse, spin-casting, resin room, and all points north?”

See how our metal miniatures are part during the tour and take one home with you!

“That’s the one. Well why don’t we do that all year round, whenever our fans want to pop by? Make sure the cabinets are full of shiny Studio-painted models, see if Stewart is free to talk new releases, and if Ricky can cast a commemorative model for them in front of their very eyes. That kind of thing.”

“I’ll have to dust the cabinets. And open the shop too, I suspect?” I sighed.

“Good lad. Make it so,” he said with a sparkle in his eye.

And with that, Ronnie swept into a meeting about [REDACTED].

The (in)famous Mantic Shop, full of exclusive items, special deals and lots more.

So, here we are, Mantic HQ is opening its doors twice a day during weekdays to pre-booked groups of fans of our work. Tickets are easily booked through the Brown Paper Tickets website and there are two time slots available: 10am and 2pm.

The tour will take around an hour and will contain most – if not all – of the following:

·         Spin casting metal models’ demonstration
·         Resin casting room (no live pouring here, mind!)
·         The Warehouse of All The Things
·         Our Head of Studio (if available)
·         Current and forthcoming models and games
·         Ronnie spotting (if in the country)
·         Studio cabinets full of glorious models

You’ll also have the opportunity to play in our gaming hall.

Of course when that’s all done there’s still some time to be spent in the Gaming Hall should you want to throw down your models for a face-off against your friends, and the HQ Store will be open for sales of exclusives, hard-to-get, and not-yet-for-release items

If you have any feedback or questions about our events at the Bunker, leave them in the comments below and we’ll check them out.
