The Call of the Wild: Pre-Order Fracture and the New Nature Army

Nature Fights Back
The Green Lady is on the move.
In yesterday’s design blog, Matt Gilbert gave us a look behind the curtain at the ideas, sketches and long-running plans that shaped the new Forces of Nature range. As he mentioned there, some of these concepts have been waiting patiently in the roots and shadows for a very long time. In fact, the ferauns first appeared as concept art all the way back in Uncharted Empires in 2016.
So it’s fair to say the Herd have been a long time coming.
Now, with Fracture arriving at the end of June, the Forces of Nature are stepping into the spotlight. The Green Lady’s armies are growing, the Herd are taking their place alongside the elementals, and a stampede of new miniatures is now available to pre-order.
And it’s not just about the models. As we explored earlier this week in Matt’s rules preview, Fracture brings new army content, new Command Orders, new units, new scenarios and a range of gameplay updates that ensure the book has something for everyone. For the Forces of Nature in particular, the new rules are designed to give players more ways to embrace the army’s different themes, whether you favour the wild strength of the Herd, the power of the elements, or a mixture of both.
Note that these new miniatures are releasing across June and July. We’d originally planned to reveal the July wave in mid-June, but we didn’t want to keep you waiting. Today, we’re revealing the full new Forces of Nature range, all of which are available to pre-order now.

The World Is Fracturing
As the Xirkaali invasion continues to spread chaos across Pannithor, the Green Lady has sensed an older and more terrible danger stirring beneath the world’s surface.
The Abyss is growing restless. The Wicked Ones strain against their bonds. Old powers are awakening, old alliances are splintering, and the choices made now could decide the fate of Pannithor for generations to come.
In Fracture, the Green Lady begins to enact a desperate plan to restore balance before the world is dragged into a greater conflict. Her envoys travel far and wide, seeking allies in expected and unexpected places alike. Some answer her call willingly. Others need rather more persuasion.
And as the fires of war spread toward Samarik, the forests of Galahir are no longer content to watch from the shadows.
The Forces of Nature are joining the fray.

June Releases
The first wave of Forces of Nature releases will commence shipping at the end of June, alongside the Fracture expansion book itself. This wave centres on the new plastic Herd kits, making it an ideal starting point for new Forces of Nature players and an exciting expansion opportunity for existing armies.
Fracture Expansion Book
The story of Kings of War continues in Fracture, the essential next chapter in the saga of Pannithor.
As the Xirkaali invasion rages on, western Pannithor is far from united. Faith splinters in Basilea, fresh horrors stir in the Abyss, and the Green Lady brings the natural world itself into the conflict as the story hurtles toward a mighty showdown at Samarik.
Packed with narrative development, rich background and four new army lists, Fracture also adds new scenarios, universal Command Orders, gameplay updates and plenty of new options for Kings of War players to dig into.
Forces of Nature Battalion
Diverse, strange and powerful, the Forces of Nature are unlike almost any other army in Kings of War.
Beneath the banner of the Green Lady march the shunned beastfolk created by Kyron, the towering elementals summoned from the raw power of the world, and the mysterious Druids of the glades.
The Forces of Nature Battalion brings those themes together in one great-value boxed set. With a mix of new Herd units and elemental might, it’s a strong foundation for a new force, or a cost-effective way to expand an existing collection.
Feraun Tribal Battlegroup
The Herd have arrived.
The Feraun Tribal Battlegroup brings together the children of Kyron who now march to war beneath the Green Lady’s banner. These diminutive warriors are practical, determined and fiercely protective of their domains, armed with scavenged weapons, hand-crafted armour and savage courage.
This set includes the new hard plastic Tribal Warriors kit, alongside swift Centaurs that can be built as Bray Hunters or Bray Striders. Together, they form the beating heart of the Herd within the Forces of Nature army.
If you’ve been waiting to add the Herd to your army, this is where the stampede begins.
Forces of Nature Hero Pack
Even the wildest armies need leaders.
The Forces of Nature Hero Pack gathers together key commanders and spiritual figures for the Herd. Tribal Chieftains guide Kyron’s children into battle, Songweavers inspire their kin with tales of the Father’s deeds, and Druids channel the strange and ancient magics of the forest.
These characters give your army personality, battlefield presence and a stronger connection to the new Forces of Nature background explored in Fracture.
July Releases
The second wave of Forces of Nature releases starts shipping at the end of July, bringing some spectacular centrepiece models, new heroes, monstrous units and the new Kings of War Champions company led by Ydrin Thorncreeper.
Avatar of the Green Lady
The Green Lady has sworn never to bring the full might of her powers to bear again, after the terrible destruction of the Battle of Madness during the God Wars.
Instead, she sends an Avatar in her stead: a living embodiment blessed with a fragment of her divine power and authority. This stunning new miniature represents the Green Lady’s majesty, serenity and terrible wrath, able to call the plants of the earth to rise at her command and smother her foes.
Avatar of the Father
Brave Kyron has long been at war with his darker half.
In preparation for the struggles ahead, he has begun creating bestial adaptations of himself and sending them into the world to be tested. The Avatar of the Father strides into battle as a majestic, ferocious lion-like monster, embodying both regal power and untamed fury.
Beast of Nature
The Beast of Nature is a strange and powerful fusion of two elemental creatures: an ancient Tree Shambler and a young Air Elemental.
Normally found slumbering deep in the forest, this bizarre entity can awaken for war with the strength of ancient roots and the unpredictable fury of the wind. It’s an unusual, characterful monster option that will add flexibility and punching power to your army, and make for a wonderfully distinctive hobby project! The kit contains options for both winged and non-winged versions.
Guardian Brutes Troop
The Guardian Brutes are among the most imposing warriors of the Herd.
Once mortals twisted into bestial forms, the mighty minotaurs were rescued from their suffering by Brave Kyron. Now they dwell in the deep forests alongside their smaller kin, marching to war as hulking protectors of the ferauns.
This new box creates a striking mixed-height unit, with towering brutes fighting beside smaller Herd warriors. The Minotaur shown on the left in the image can be built with or without rider.
Ydrin Thorncreeper Company
Every tale needs a hero ready to travel the wilds for a worthy cause. In Kings of War Champions, few are as wild as Ydrin Thorncreeper.
Arrogant, cocky and brash, Ydrin has nevertheless risen swiftly through the ranks of the Green Lady’s trusted fighters. Now he has been sent toward Basilea, leading a small company of centaurs and tribal warriors after reports that the Forces of the Abyss are massing in the Samarite Mountains.
The Ydrin Thorncreeper Champions Company box set includes everything you need to bring the fury of the Herd to your games of Kings of War Champions: a small force of the new hard plastic Tribal Warriors and Centaurs, Ydrin himself in the form of a stunning MasterCraft resin miniature, and all the necessary extras such as bases and unit cards.
Ydrin is also a unit in the Forces of Nature army list in Fracture, and is available to purchase as an individual miniature.
New Heroes of the Herd
The July wave also includes a range of individual hero releases, giving Forces of Nature players plenty of new ways to add character and variety to their armies.
Gladewalker Druid
Gladewalker Druids are those who have begun to leave their old selves behind, embracing the savage life of the groves, streams and deep forests. Their connection to the Green Lady’s magic is powerful, but increasingly unsettling to those who still cling to civilisation.
Tribal Chieftain
The largest and strongest ferauns are known as Longhorns, and it is from their ranks that many of the Herd’s leaders emerge. Tribal Chieftains understand that the savage nature of their kin should be harnessed, not restrained, and direct their warriors where that fury will do the most damage.
Centaur Chief
Centaur Chiefs are mystical, intelligent and far more measured than their thunderous charges might suggest. In peace, they act as envoys, messengers and scouts. In war, they lead their kin in a devastating stampede toward the enemy.
Tribal Songweaver
The Songweavers are the spiritual heart of the Herd. Through song and story, they keep alive the deeds of Brave Kyron and the history of his children, inspiring the Herd to greater feats of courage and fury in battle.
Hard Plastic Reinforcements
The new hard plastic kits will also be available separately in July, giving you more flexibility when building your army.
Centaur Regiment
The new hard plastic Centaur kit can build a regiment of either Bray Striders or Bray Hunters.
Larger and more powerful cousins of the diminutive ferauns, Bray Hunters can harass enemy flanks with bows before Bray Striders charge in to finish the job with crude halberds and heavy mauls crafted from the raw materials of the forest.
They’ve been a long time coming in hard plastic, and they’re finally ready to ride!
Tribal Warriors Regiment
Tribal Warriors are the ferauns who march to war in the armies of the Green Lady.
Armed with scavenged or hand-crafted weapons and clad in armour made from lacquered bark and other natural materials, these diminutive fighters charge from the forests to meet the enemies of Nature head-on.
This hard plastic kit can build a regiment, or two troops, of Tribal Warriors with hand weapons or spears, or Tribal Hunters with slings, giving you plenty of flexibility when assembling your Herd. (The image above shows the option with spears.)

The Green Lady’s Bundle includes the Fracture book, the Forces of Nature Battalion, a Guardian Brutes Troop, Ydrin Thorncreeper and the Avatar of the Green Lady, giving you a mighty start to your collection when it ships at the end of July.
We also have two Library Bundles available, shipping at the end of June: one collecting the 4th Edition rulebook and both expansion books, Invasion and Fracture, and another that contains just the two expansion books. Whether you’re catching up on the story so far or getting ready for the battles ahead, these bundles are a great way to prepare for what’s coming.
The Green Lady Marches to War
This is a huge moment for the Forces of Nature.
With the arrival of the long-awaited Herd miniatures and the Fracture expansion book itself, the army is taking centre stage in the next chapter of Kings of War.
If you’re an existing player, this is a chance to add long-requested units, new centrepieces and fresh tactical options to your collection. For new players, the Battalion and Feraun Tribal Battlegroup offer excellent ways to begin an army that combines wild tribal warriors, swift cavalry, elemental power and the ancient will of the Green Lady.
Next week, we’ll also be sharing how you can get involved by submitting your own ideas for new Command Orders and new units. We’ve already got plenty of ideas of our own, but in true Mantic style, we want to hear yours too. The best community suggestions may even find their way into the game in the future.
Until then, take a look at the new Forces of Nature releases, pick your favourites, and get ready to answer the Green Lady’s call.
As Pannithor slides toward a dangerous new turning point, the warriors of the wild are needed now more than ever!
