FIREFIGHT: The Veer-myn at War

The exact origins of the Veer-myn race are lost to history. They keep no written records of their own and showed no interest in early attempts at diplomacy by the GCPS beyond eating the diplomats. But although the advent of the Corporation and, in particular, the McKinley drive, has certainly increased the dispersal and numbers of the Veer-myn, they were known as a menace to other civilisations long before man took to the stars.

The most obvious asset available to the Veer-myn is numbers. Large colonies may have hundreds of Night Crawlers at their disposal and Stalkers will also quickly make dead men of almost any unit with which they get into combat.

These low-caste soldiers may lack the discipline and training of more professional forces, but, having been part of a gang since the moment of their birth, they are still highly co-ordinated, especially if accompanied by a Malignus. A well-led horde of Veer-myn is a force to be reckoned with.
