Midweek Round-Up 22nd December

22nd Dec 2021

Jonny Mann

Welcome to the Midweek Round-Up.

This is the new place to find all the best content from in and around the community over the last week.

Robert Sinatra did a great job of wrangling more troops to the cause.
“Big demo night for Kings Of War, here in Milan (Italy)! We introduced 3 new potential players with an Elves vs Dwarfs and Elves vs Salamanders. Thanks to my demo companions Andrea Fulloni and Christopher Fucci for the help. We always do our best to spread the word of Mantica”

The folks over on Dash28.org put together a really great article on the best artefacts to come out of the Clash Of Kings 2022 book, be sure to go check it out! I’ll definitely be taking the Torc of Dissonance a spin in my next game. What’s been your favourite artefact so far?

Even the Northern Alliance can’t beat the true North where Santa rules according to Allen Buehner. Santa took the win in turn 7 for a 7-14 loss.

Our own Kay Robinson has been putting together an incredible Gaelic-themed Ogre army and this chap looks great! check out the rest of their army in progress in this blog.

Do we like this paint scheme? Ooohh Yeshh! Bit a niche reference there for fans of UK car insurance adverts.
jollylarkgames did a fantastic job on this Dwarf Mastiff. This good boy will fight them on the beaches, it will fight them on the… you get the idea.

From one doggo to another, prettycoolfox showed off this wonderful Halfling General on Winged Aralez (lovingly known in the warehouse as the Regal Eagle-Beagle).

“What a phenomenal model! This guy was a blast to paint. Mantic Games really did an excellent job on their halfling minis. The whole range is sooooo good!” That’s prettycoolfox’s quote – not us just bigging ourselves up.

randalthor2611 painted the new Veer-Myn hero with a really interesting and striking colour armour, for his favourite sci-fi skirmish game, Deadzone! Maybe we should have put a gore warning on this one?! Ugh.

Bill Burnett knocked it out the park with these incredibly painted Overdrive competitors! The vibrancy of them is great and they match the studio paint schemes perfectly!

The Instagram account walking_dead_all_out_war fan did a great job on the basing of John from the Saviors Faction Pack.

On the high seas of Pannithor, Anthony Robinson is chipping away at his Empire Of Dust fleet, he has the Monolith and Fliers left to paint up. Great job so far!

Be sure to check out Electrobeard’s video over on YouTube about how to speed paint the amazing new Riftforged Orcs! Hang on, we recognise this guy… it’s our own Martin Thirlwell. His beard isn’t made of electricity!

That’s it for this week. Hope you all have a great festive season and, hopefully, Santa will bring you plenty of Mantic miniatures so you can feature in a future community round-up.

The once irregular update, will now be regularly coming to you every Wednesday, so keep your eyes peeled! And if you want to make sure we spot your great work, use the hashtag #MyMantic when posting on social media.
