Midweek Round-Up – 30th March

30th Mar 2022

Jonny Mann

Hello and welcome to the Midweek Round-Up.

This is the Number One place to find all the best hobby content from in and around the Mantic community over the last week or so. See what your fellow painters have been up to, or even see if you have been featured! Find the latest videos from around the hobby and most importantly… get inspired to pick up that paintbrush.

Now we all know, there has been no avoiding the huge news surrounding an altercation at a massive event in America this week…

However, we can confirm that it was all in good humour and both Kyle and Steve are just fine and still good friends.

Mantic’s Kyle Przelenski took on the beautiful Steve Hildrew* at Kings Of War for a battle report at Adepticon last week! We’ll be sure to post the report here as soon as it’s available.

*it’s official, he has an award and everything

Oh yeah, talking of Adepticon, it was Adepticon last weekend!

The event returned after a two year (Covid forced) hiatus and it was great to see hobbyists out in numbers again playing so many games!

Meanwhile, schadelsammler_offical has been painting these fantastic Forge Fathers over on Instagram!

Also top work on the photography lighting.

“Shall I describe it to you, or would you like me to find you a box?”
These Dwarf Sharpshooters are incredible and the basing is very well done.

Check out this great Video from Tom’s Tabletop Bunker on YouTube on how to assemble the Salamander Fleets. Keep your eyes out for part two where he plans to paint them too.

Look at Mark Ottley’s otterly awesome Otters!
This Trident Realm army looks fantastic! If you too wish to create a cute, yet terrifying, Tidal Swarm of otters for your Trident Realm army or even Woodland Critters in a Forces Of Nature army, you get one Otter on each Naiad sprue.

Thomas Brown has done a great job so far on The Bug and is well into completing more Overdrive models. The colour of the carapace is great, very camo and realistic.

These beauties are looking ship shape and Bristol fashion! The reds and yellows of the Dictator sails really stand out against the blues of the Ocean gaming mat.

In case you missed it, over on Twitch ciara_elvenblood spent her St Patrick’s day painting the Riftforged Orc Stormbringer on Manticore amongst other things.

That’s it for this week folks, be sure to check in again next week.
The Midweek Round-Up will be coming to you every Wednesday!
And if you want to make sure we spot your great work, use the hashtag #MyMantic when posting on social media.
